This is a very weird feeling. I had a dream this morning but there was no one from Section D or Sherwood forest in sight! As it has become my custom to report my wacky nighttime meanderings on this blog, I feel an odd compulsion to report it, even though it’s not relevant! I was at the movies and have a vague recollection that I was there to see Strike Back (a new six-part TV series starring Richard Armitage). That may be a false memory, however, due to having read some of the commentary on its upcoming broadcast last night. Also, my mind is now in the habit of automatically searching for a RA reference in my dreams simply because he’s appeared in so many of them lately. This is the first dream I’ve had (or remembered, we actually dream every night, we just don’t recall them) in a number of days. Yesterday I was lamenting the fact that I’d gone without a vivid dream in what seemed like a long succession of nights; I missed them so! This morning’s dream wasn’t too exciting or memorable, unfortunately. Better luck tomorrow!
BLOG HOUSEKEEPING, ROBIN HOOD & THE MIGHTY SLAYER!
At present I’m feeling the urge to watch Robin Hood 1-2 again before I launch into watching the (apparent) abomination that is season three. Long before I had this blog or frequented any blogs that discussed Richard Armitage’s work, I had some strong reactions to some aspects/scenes in Robin Hood and had written some thoughts down. So I’m planning to share and expand on these soon as I go through the re-watch. However I don’t think that the Spooks Fan Blog is the place for these posts. After all, this is not a Richard Armitage/Lucas North blog, it’s about Spooks (believe it or not!), and not all its readers are into RH or are in the grips of RA fan fervor, so I don’t want to bore/alienate those readers (too much).
So! This is just a heads up to let you know that upcoming posts on Robin Hood will be published on my personal blog Smashing Skulls (check it out if you want a read about what a nut case I am! And be warned, it contains some strong opinions and language that will not be everyone’s cup of tea. Let me put it this way, I’m the kind of girl who is more likely to listen to Slayer than watch a period drama. It’s probably fair to say that I’m not your average RA fan). It was there that I wrote my first post on Spooks and the rest is history. When the first RH piece is up I will post a short note here to let all you know. For those who are interested, please come on over and join in the discussion. For those who aren’t, please ignore!
Sounds good
