Series 10 starts oh so soon. Before it does, let’s have some last minute speculations. HOW will it end? Will Ruth and Harry FINALLY get it together? Will the Spooks finale break our hearts (and theirs)? What do you think will happen? However it goes down, it will be a bittersweet joy to see Peter Firth and Nicola Walker take the beloved Harry Pearce and Ruth Evershed through their final paces. How do you think their story will unfold?
Continuing with Ruth & Harry Week here on the SFB, here is an old interview with the very lovely Nicola Walker from the series (4? 5?) DVD extras.
In the lead up to Spooks 10.1 this Sunday, I thought it might be fun to spend some time with Ruth and Harry before we learn how their story is going to end (or begin?). So I hereby declare this to be RUTH & HARRY WEEK on the Spooks Fan Blog. Let’s start with this sneaky footage of Nicola Walker and Peter Firth during filming for Spooks 10. It was uploaded to YouTube on June 5, 2011. Caption says “They weren’t shooting a scene, they were just walking down the street as friends between takes. Nicola had just arrived. SO cute!!”
HERE IT IS, FOLKS!
Well, you’ve been googling this question for the past 6 MONTHS, and now we can finally answer it. When will Spooks go to air? The answer is on September 18, which is a Sunday. It will go up against Downton Abby, apparently, which seems to have caused a bit of stir.
For those who are desperate for Spooks news, if you haven’t been following me on Twitter, you’re missing out. I don’t recommend that you rely on this blog for the latest info, as I say on the about page, that is not the primary function of this blog. As air date approaches I tend to withdraw a little from the online chatter because I prefer to watch a new series without having heard any teasers or spoilers about it. Given that I live way down here in Australia, I can avoid all the hype in Britain.
To keep informed I strongly suggest joining the Spooks Forum where you can be the first to hear the latest news and join in the discussion as each new episode goes to air. Happy Spooking!
There’s a new Richard Armitage blog in town (discovered via @bccmee) that totally tickles my silly sense of humour. It’s called: RICHARD ARMITAGE ON THE PHONE. Will it be as outstanding as Kim Jong-il Looking at Things? Only time will tell.
Here’s some I created earlier (from the Spooks Fan Blog media library) which I guess would be more accurately described as ‘Lucas North and/or John Bateman on the phone’. Please feel free to download and submit these to Richard Armitage on the Phone if they aren’t on the blog already.

Question: Do comms count?
