Beware Australia, Sarah Caulfield is in town!

[ Internal Memo: Just a quick note on the 7.1 rewatch - I'll be following up our conversation with a new blog post in the next day or two that will focus on some points raised by our discussion. In the meantime, something silly happened when I went out to get some milk.. ]

Over at the blog Me+Richard the other day, Servetus asked her readers; if you were a superhero, what would your special power be? I answered with ‘healing’ because someone once told me that I had “healing hands”. If you were to ask me what ability I have in my mere mortal status that would resemble a special power, it would be face recognition. I never forget a face, ever. My mind is strongly visually orientated (which makes dealing with abstract concepts in academia a challenge, thank goodness for mind maps!) and I tend to notice details that pass others by.

What does this have to do with Sarah Caulfield? I swear on Danny Hunter’s grave that I spotted this lady or her double while I was running errands today (Shhhh… don’t tell Lucas!). Even though I never forget a face, it can sometimes take me a little while to remember a face in context. So it wasn’t until she was out of view that it dawned on me why my brain was screaming YOU KNOW THAT WOMAN and she is BAD NEWS!

Although it is true that the actor who played SC, Genevieve O’Reilly, is an Aussie lass, I seriously doubt it was her. It was just one of those silly ‘you know you’re a Spooks fan when…’ moments that makes you realise that your mind is overly Spooks orientated. For more evidence of “Spooks syndrome” (?) stay tuned for a post on how being a Spooks fantragic has effected my wardrobe!
