Seeing as there was no Friday Photo we’re left with Scene Still Sunday instead (confession: I almost ran into the back of another car while brainstorming this catchphrase when driving home yesterday. Take my advice, do not Spook and drive). This would have to be one of the coolest shots we have seen in Spooks. It’s taken from episode 1.4 and features Zoe Reynolds stashin’ some cash behind a vent in the flat she shared with Danny. I love it!
Richard Armitage dropped a big teasing nugget of intel on Lucas North for season nine of Spooks today. In an interview on GMTV, Richard reveals that Lucas North is not who we thought he was.

My immediate thought was – this must tie in with talk of Lucas becoming embroiled in what bosses say is a “dark secret that leads to the ultimate betrayal” (source). Is Lucas really a double agent? That would be too obvious, surely? Perhaps he is part of a Yelta style group? Maybe he is working to his own agenda, Connie style? In season seven Lucas emphatically states to Elisaveta, his ex-wife, that he is MI-5. Was this a lie? Juliet Shaw comes to mind. She was not entirely who we thought she was. Is Lucas in “deep cover” too?
I have theory. I’ve been working the back channels on it for a while. My apologies for not sharing this intel with you earlier but I wanted to be sure. Brace yourself! Friends, that whole William Blake thing is a smokescreen. Lucas is not really into mysticism. He does not shun the religious order, he embraces it. Literally! This is who Lucas North really is:
This surveillance photo was taken in the tranquil English country village of Dibley. My informant (codename: Owen) tells me that “Lucas” married the local Vicar and had been going by the name “Harry Kennedy”. There was no Russian cell. No brutal interrogations. Lucas was in Dibley the whole time! Perhaps the biggest and most devastating revelation of all is that Lucas North is actually an accountant. But wait there’s more. You won’t believe it when you see who Lucas is pictured consorting with here:

Waking from my sleep this morning I burst out laughing as the dream from last night’s slumber began to filter into my semi-conscious state. I was on my way to an INXS concert (weird, I haven’t been into them since I was a teenager). As with many of my dreams I was lost, running late and worried that I wouldn’t make it on time (a metaphor for my PhD, perhaps!!). While running round the city streets I was somehow transported to a not-so-flash concert hall where a crowd were seated waiting for a show to begin.
At some point I realised that it was not a regular concert but a Spooks location shoot. My eyes scanned the scene looking for Peter Firth and I strained my neck looking for Richard Armitage. No luck, Lucas North and Harry Pearce were not in the scenes to be shot today. All was not lost though, for a sweet lady treat was in store! Then the music began and to my horror bloody Sting had taken to the stage (sorry, not a fan.. snoozarama!) and I’m thinking ‘Oh no! Spooks is starting to do the celebrity cameo thing, this is awful!!!’. The situation was redeemed somewhat when I spotted Zoe singing along side Sting. *Gasp!* A premonition? Zoe is coming back? Her enforced 10 year exile /prison sentence will be coming to an end soon… so could it be, Zoe returns in season 12?
